Worshipping the snake God holds a lot of importance, according to the beliefs in Hinduism, and it is to be done in the auspicious month of Sawan. Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha, in the Sawan month. It is believed that worshipping Nag Devta on this day, helps the devotee get rid of any dosh. A famous astrologer gives remedies on how to get rid of the doshas. Pandit Sanjay Upadhyay, an astrologer from Kashi, says that engaging in the worship of the Nag during Nag Panchami, awakens the Kundalini. There is a special way to worship the god on this favourable day, through which you can get rid of the Kaal Sarp dosha. As per more beliefs, it may also lower your fear of snake bites too.
How to get rid of the Kaal Sarp dosha?
According to Pandit Upadhyay, on this day, after taking a bath in the morning, a believer should knead wheat flour and make a pitthi from it. Using this pithi, make an idol of the serpent God outside the house and make sure to mark it with roli vermillion. When everything is prepared, offer the idol milk, flowers and lava. Then with incense sticks, you can start worshipping the idol, said the astrologer. It is to be followed by the worship of Nageshwar Shivling, which should also be done at home. It is believed that following the mentioned remedies could get rid of Kaal Sarp dosha.
The astrologer gave more information, stating that the Panchami will start at 9:56 pm on August 8 and end at 11:58 pm on August 9, according to the Vedic calendar. On the Nag Panchami day, the Siddha and Sadhya Yoga are expected to form, added the astrologer. So, during this period, engaging in the worship of Lord Shiva and Nag Devta could get rid of any obstacles and diseases, concluded Pandit Upadhyay.
