In an exclusive interaction with IBNLive Lifestyle, Narendra Kumar, Creative Director, Amazon India Fashion Week spoke about the trends that the much-awaited fashion week will kick off and the kind of jackets that work with Indo-western outfit. Excerpts from an interview:
On trends that AIFW will begin:
With a very Indianised theme for this season, that is focused on modernizing Indian Textiles, the AIFW’16 is sure to set new trends and make a fashion statement across the globe! The season will depict an Indo – Western fusion look of stylish western silhouettes with Indian ornamentation making it a signature style. In the upcoming fashion week you will see combinations and fusion dressing showcased by designers. Right from the traditional salwar kameez or churidars to flared skirts to block printed kurtis, halter-necks worn over trousers or jeans or stylishly on a saree.
The color palette of the season will be in shades of blue and earthy tones. The earthy color trend is definitely one that we are embracing as it is trendy and functional, creating a fresh, natural and understatedly chic look. In addition, you will also see pop colored outfits.
Ever since Amazon and the FDCI have joined hands, the finales of AIFW have spoken beautifully of what the trends will be. This season too, we plan to put together a trendsetting show. You would not want to miss the Grand Finale!
