Aditya Roy Kapur has surprised fans by featuring in an advertisement with Chunky Panday. Chunky is the father of Aditya’s rumoured ex-girlfriend Ananya Panday. Aditya and Chunky collaborated on an advertisement for a beverage in which Chunky attempted to sell the drink to Aditya on a beach.

Chunky and Aditya’s collaboration comes amid the rumours of Aditya and Ananya Panday’s breakup. A few months ago, Aditya and Chunky were spotted at the same hotel in Goa. This advertisement led fans to think that the collaboration was likely the reason behind the trip. Watch it here:

While neither Aditya nor Ananya have confirmed or denied the speculation, they have been ongoing for a while now. As such, the beverage ad has surprised fans. One person wrote, “So that’s why they were in Goa.” Another added, “I was wondering why they were put together and then I remembered Ananya.” Another person wrote, “Hote hote reh gaya.” Another added, “Damad ji with sasur ji.”

Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur’s breakup rumours made headlines in April after the actress shared a cryptic note on her Instagram stories which read, “If it is truly meant for you, it will come back to you. It will leave only for the sake of teaching you the lessons you could only learn on your own. If it is truly meant for you, it will return even if you’ve pushed it away, even if you’re in denial, even if you assume something so beautiful could never be truly yours – because if it’s truly meant for you, it is never not a piece of you. It is never not intricately tied into the depths of your soul.”

Later, a close friend of the two actors told the Bombay Times, “They broke up almost a month ago. They were going quite well, and the breakup came as a shock to all of us. They are cordial with each other. Ananya is trying to move on; of course, there’s hurt. She is spending time with her new furry friend. Aditya is also trying to deal with the situation maturely.”

However, it should also be noted that Ananya and Aditya have not reacted to their breakup rumours as of now.
