The Tamil Film Demonte Colony 2 already gained a huge response from the audience. The film, released on August 15, is a sequel to the 2015 film Demonte Colony. Directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film featured stars like Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. While talking to the media before the release, actor Arulnithi mentioned that this horror thriller garnered significant audience attention and became a major hit. The Demonte Colony 2 received a good response at the box office. After witnessing the success of the first and the second part, the director revealed that they are planning to start the work of the third part. Director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu said, “After completion of my next film, I will start working on the third part of Demonte Colony.” It should be noted that presently, the director is busy with a Television series starring actress Pooja Hegde. The title of the series is yet to be announced by the makers.
Talking about the box office collection, Demonte Colony 2 managed to record a worldwide box office collection of Rs 25.05 crore till now. On the first day, the film recorded a collection of Rs 3.55 crore in India, while it earned Rs 2.35 crore on the second day. The earnings went up by 82.98 per cent, recording a collection of Rs 4.3 crore on the third day. The film is expected to earn more with more days to go.
Alongside Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, Demonte Colony 2 features popular actors VJ Archana, Tsering Dorjee, C. Arun Pandian, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Antti Jaaskelainen, Sarjano Khalid and Vettai Muthukumar. Produced by Bobby Balachandran, Harish Kannan acts as the cinematographer of the film.
