Confirmed by his spokesperson, South mega star Ajith Kumar has been admitted to the hospital. He is presently undergoing treatment for nerve swelling, dispelling rumors of brain surgery to remove a cyst. The same spokesperson also assured fans and well-wishers through his statement that Ajith has been doing fine now.
Speaking with the entertainment portal Zoom, the spokesperson addressed the rumours of Ajith Kumar suffering from a cyst in his brain, “On Thursday, Ajith sir got admitted to the hospital for a general examination. There was undue swelling in the nerve connecting his ear to the brain. Doctors got rid of it now with a simple medical procedure. Ajith is fine, he walked from the ward to the ICU,” he shared.
Additionally, according to the spokesperson, Ajith Kumar became even more conscious about his health, after the art director Milan’z demise. He explained, “Ajith was supposed to meet Milan in half an hour when he passed away. That shattered him and he began taking his health check-ups more seriously.”
The news of Tamil actor Ajith Kumar being hospitalised has led to widespread speculations and distress amongst fans. As per the reports, the actor was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on Thursday morning. Various videos have surfaced on the internet where the actor accompanied by his wife can be seen entering the hospital.
The speculations have been put to rest after it was reported that Ajith Kumar’s visit to the hospital was just for a routine health check-up. The actor was shooting for his upcoming movie Vidaa Muyarchi in Azerbaijan and recently flew back to India to spend some time with his family. He was also spotted celebrating his son Aadvik’s 9th birthday. Now, the actor has been admitted to the private hospital where he will be staying for a day for all the procedures for his complete body check-up before he resumes his shooting in Azerbaijan.
Reportedly, the Vedalam actor undergoes health check-ups regularly before flying abroad. A report claims that this time the actor’s hospitalisation caught attention and caused various speculations due to how it has been covered by the media. Another report claims that Ajith Kumar took the test due to damage to his spinal cord.

Ajith Kumar is busy shooting for his highly anticipated movie Vidaa Muyarchi which is touted to be a fast-paced action thriller. It is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and backed by Lyca Productions. After the shoot in Turkey was finished, in October 2023 the crew jetted off to Azerbaijan for the next part of the shooting which is now nearing completion. The movie is slated for release in late April or May. It will also star Regina Cassandra, Trisha Krishnan and Arjun Sarja, to name a few.
