Sharvari Wagh is gearing up for her next action drama Vedaa which is releasing on August 15. The makers have released a trailer and have been getting a lot of praise for it. Alia Bhatt also took to her social handle and showered praise on her. Both Alia and Sharvari are working together in a spy drama Alpha.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Alia Bhatt shared the trailer and wrote, ‘This girl is on fire.” The film also stars John Abraham, Abhishek Bannerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mouni Roy. The film story revolves around a young girl who fights against oppression. She wants social justice against tyrants who oppressed the downtrodden communities based on caste and untouchability. The action-thriller is directed by Nikkhil Advani.

The makers of Vedaa recently revealed that they are still awaiting clearance from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). On Thursday, the director of the film, Nikkhil Advani, took to his Instagram handle to share the same and urged the authorities to resolve this “unusual delay”. “We, the producers of Vedaa feel compelled to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we are still to secure a clearance and certification from the CBFC of India,” the statement read.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen together in Alpha. Sharvari dropped a photo from the film’s set today, July 30, and said that she is excited to embark on this journey, which he has manifested.

The film’s shoot is underway with full fervour. As reported by IANS, Alia Bhatt and the film’s antagonist, Bobby Deol were recently in Mumbai where they shot on a heavily guarded set in Film City. “It is a ferocious action sequence. You can call it brutal. It is a no-holds-barred face-to-face action sequence between Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol. There will be blood,” a source cited by the news agency claimed.
The title of Alia Bhatt’s Spy Universe movie – Alpha – was announced earlier this month when the actress took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video in which she announced that the shooting for the much-awaited movie has finally begun.
