Arjit Taneja Shares Excitement About His Role In Mr And Mrs Mahi: 'Atmosphere Was Different'

Arjit Taneja, who rose to fame with his performance in Kumkum Bhagya, is now entertaining viewers with his new show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, alongside Sriti Jha. The actor keeps his fans updated on social media, as he often shares moments from his personal and professional life. Currently, Arjit is at the top of his career, juggling work in both TV and Bollywood. Last year, he impressed audiences with his act in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. Now, he’s thrilled about appearing in the upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. Adding to the excitement, Arjit will share screen with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, the actor spoke about his excitement about landing roles in back to back Dharma films and his experiences on set.

Taneja shared, “Well, it is just a coincidence. In fact, I shot for this movie way before I did Rocky Aur Rani… We shot for this around two or three years back. It has been a great experience. It was very different from how a TV show is shot. The whole atmosphere was different. Rajkumar Rao is one of the finest actors that we have in the Bollywood industry, and it was an enchanting experience to work with him in the movie.”

Earlier, sharing the poster of Mr And Mrs Mahi on Instagram and making the official announcement about his role, Arjit Taneja wrote, “Happy to be a small part of this film with a BIG BIG heart.”

Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr and Mrs Mahi tells the story of a couple who both love cricket and interestingly, they share the same name, Mahi. They fall in love after an arranged marriage. Rajkumar Rao plays the titular character, who dreams about becoming a cricketer one day, but forced to take another job due to family pressure. After his marriage, he discovers that his wife, played by Janhvi Kapoor, is a talented cricketer. Determined to help her succeed, he vows to train her to achieve her cricket dreams.

Meanwhile, other than Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, Arjit Taneja has worked in popular TV shows, that includes Kumkum Bhagya, Bahu Begum and Kaleerien. He was even part of Rohit Shetty hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.
