Avneet Kaur Accused of CHEATING and Non-Payment By a Jewellery Brand: 'Worst Experience To Date'

Avneet Kaur has been accused of cheating by a small jewellery brand. Recently, the brand took to its official Instagram handle and issued a long statement alleging ‘exploitation’ by the actress. It mentioned that they had a ‘verbal commitment’ with Avneet regarding a barter collaboration. As a part of this collaboration, the actress was supposed to tag the brand on Instagram while posing in its jewellery. However, Avneet missed tagging the brand. When reminded, she refused it and agreed to pay for items sent to her. However, the brand has not received the payment as well.

“Avneet Kaur, actress and influencer, sourced jewellery from our brand RANG, for her recent trip to Europe. There was a verbal commitment with her stylist in exchange for wearing our pieces during her travels. Avneet agreed to tag RANG in her social media posts. On June 29, 2024, we sent her a selection of 9 exquisite pieces including a double floral earrings, twisted loop handcuff bracelet and leaf motif earrings. Trusting that she would follow through this commitment,” the statement read.

It further claimed that Avneet wore the brand’s jewellery siven times during her trip along with other high-end brands. While she tagged the luxurious brands, she skipped tagging the small Indian venture.

“When Avneet did not tag our brand in her first post, we contacted her stylist. The stylist said she spoke to Avneet, who agreed to credit our brand in a different post with another outfit. However, when Avneet posted again, she still did not give credit. We then messaged the stylist once more asking why Avneet had not credited our brand. Avneet replied to the stylist saying “Hey I’ll pay them how much is it”. We responded by explaining that it wasn’t about the money but about sticking to what was decided and the reason we sourced the jewellery for Avneet,” the statement added.

After much discussion, Avneet agreed to pay for the brand. However, when an invoice was sent to her, she allegedly refused to make the payment also, saying it was a barter collaboration and she would only post a story on Instagram.
