Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shilpa Shirodkar opened up about Mahesh Babu. The Telugu superstar is married to Shilpa’s sister, Namrata Shirodkar. Shilpa has been spotted spending time with Mahesh and Namrata in the past. In a new interview, Shilpa was asked about Mahesh Babu and she was all praises him. However, she hopes that people identify her for her work and not just her relationship with Mahesh Babu.
Shilpa has made her mark in the 1990s, starring in several popular Hindi films. These include Kishen Kanhaiya, Khuda Gawah, Gopi Kishan, Bewafa Sanam, and Return of Jewel Thief. She also ventured into television and starred in a few TV shows.
In a conversation with Navbharat Times, Shilpa was asked about being introduced as Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law. The actress said, “I am very proud that Mahesh (Babu) is my brother-in-law. He is family to me. He is also very happy that I am starting work again with Bigg Boss, but like you said, I have also been in this industry for a very long time and have done a good job. So, there is no reason to think in just one way.”
Although Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu have not publicly reacted to her participation, Shilpa revealed in an interview before entering Bigg Boss 18 that Namrata and Mahesh are excited for her. “(Namrata and Mahesh) are very happy for me. They are very proud of me and they just know that whatever I do, I’ll do it myself. I know I’m going to make them very proud. As a family, we are a very close-knit family. They are very supportive of me,” Shilpa Shirodkar told the Times of India.
Shilpa has been working her magic on the audience. Many viewers confessed they are rooting for her.
