The Kannada film industry has some superstars who come from the film family. However, some outsiders do not come from influential families and have left traces in the film through their hard work. One of them is actor Diganth Diwakar.
Speaking in an interview, Diwakar, the Bigg Boss Kannada 5 runner-up, shared his struggles of becoming an actor. “During my studies, I fell in love with an engineer (engineering). Then came the moment when my girlfriend became my life partner. But it has to work out, right? I studied engineering and worked at Dell in Bengaluru. Also, I worked with the same passion at another company, HP. So I switched from company to company for two or three years. When my wife noticed this, she made a decision. I didn’t tell you to keep working. Follow your passion, she said,” the actor added.
“From then on, my life shifted to the world of colours (Kannada film industry), so many films, so many roles,” he added.
This is the life of the Kannada actor Diganth Diwakar. His wife supported him in his tough times. After their joint engineering studies, they became husband and wife. She was the backbone of her husband’s dream and made his dream come true.
Diganth Diwakar-starrer Kannada film Matinee, with the actors Sathish Ninasam, Rachita Ram and Aditi Prabhudeva, was released on April 5. It promises to be a feast for the eyes. In this film produced by F3 Productions, Sathish plays the role of an elegant guy from a rich family. He loves his friends and is very honest in his love. A certain incident in his house puts him and his friends in a precarious situation. How they wind out of this is the core of the story.
Satish shared, “The story contains intense horror, comedy, love and family elements that offer something for everyone. We have focussed particularly on the sound design that will captivate the audience. We shot in the exotic places of Manali to shoot a song that enhances the eye candy. An ensemble that includes Nagabhushana, Poornachandra Mysuru and Shivaraj K R Pete enhances the story with their respective characters.”
