Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was recently arrested on charges of the murder of one of his fans named Renukaswamy. This news has shocked many of his fans, who are distressed to see their favourite actor behind bars. Some fans visited the Parappana Agrahara Jail, Bengaluru, where Darshan is presently kept. Actress Pavithra Gowda is also kept in the same jail. Some fans have staged a protest in front of the police station for Darshan. In a recent development, a specially-abled fan travelled all the way from the Yadgir district to meet Darshan. According to reports, the man named Suryakant is a resident of Shahpur, located in the Yadgir district of Karnataka. He travelled all the way to Parappana Agrahara Jail on a tricycle to meet Darshan . He requested the police officials to let him see Darshan at least once. He also stated to them that he would leave just after seeing his favourite actor.
Despite the fan’s earnest request, the jail official refused to let him meet Darshan. The police official explained to Suryakant that Darshan himself had mentioned that he would meet only his family members and no one else.
As per reports, Suryakant travelled for around 500 km to the Parappana Agrahara Jail to see Darshan as he was distressed after his arrest. He reportedly left his house on Friday and reached the jail’s location on June 25. He mentioned that he still remembers Darshan’s help during the release of Daasa in 2003. He added that Darshan helped him with Rs 50,000.
Darshan was arrested on June 11, Tuesday for the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, who allegedly sent derogatory comments to Pavithra Gowda. Darshan reportedly hired some members of one of his fan clubs and ordered them to kidnap the autorickshaw driver. A total of 17 people were arrested linked to this case. Darshan and three others will stay in judicial custody till July 4.
