Sonakshi Sinha has finally shared her wedding photos on Instagram. Sonakshi Sinha married her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony earlier today, June 23. No sooner did the actress drop her wedding photos than the ethereal carousel went viral on social media. Several Bollywood personalities like Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Ananya Panday among others have reacted to Sonakshi’s wedding photos.
Actresses like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Ananya Panday liked Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding photos. Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Shahid Kapoor also dropped a like. In the caption, they wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Meanwhile, Athiya Shetty reposted the photos on her Instagram story and wrote, “Congratulations Sona and Zaheer. Wishing you endless happiness.” Bhumi Pednekar took to her story and wrote, “Wishing you both a life full of love and joy.”
Sonakshi’s close friend and actor Saqib Saleem wrote on his story, “Bhaiya bhabhi boloon ya didi jiju?” Kusha Kapila posted, “Congratulations to this absolutely beautiful and adorably in love couple.”
Sonakshi looked beautiful in an off-white sari and minimal jewellery. She added white roses to her hair bun. Zaheer looked dapper in a white kurta. In a recent interview, Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, shed light on their marriage when he told Free Press Journal, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”
Zaheer’s father further dismissed reports claiming Sonakshi might convert to Islam after her wedding. “She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever,” he said and then added, “I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”
Meanwhile, after the wedding ceremony, Sonakshi and Zaheer will host a wedding party in Mumbai’s Bastian, and several Bollywood stars are expected to attend. It will reportedly be a star-studded affair. Previously, Honey Singh and Poonam Dhillon confirmed that they have also been invited.
A source close to the couple told News18 Showsha earlier that Salman Khan has also been sent an invitation. Sonakshi has also invited her Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar co-stars including Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharmin Segal Mehta among others.
