Eva Grover on 'Abusive' Marriage With Aamir Khan's Stepbrother Hyder: 'Salman Khan Was Very Supportive...'
Eva Grover opens up about her abusive marriage with Hyder Ali Khan, her career break, and Salman Khan’s support during tough times in a recent podcast interview.

Actress Eva Grover, known for her roles in popular TV serials like Bade Acche Lagte Hai, recently bared it all in an emotional tell-all interview on the Coffee Unfiltered podcast. During the interview, Eva shared personal details about her abusive marriage to Aamir Khan’s stepbrother, Hyder Ali Khan, and her fight for custody of their daughter.

Eva also recalled how, during one of the most difficult periods in her personal life, she received support from Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. “Salman was very supportive at that time. He even offered me a spot on Bigg Boss, and I was told that if I joined, they’d ensure I’d stay for a long time,” she revealed. However, despite the opportunity, Eva turned it down, unable to focus on her career at the time due to her personal struggles.

Fans remember Eva fondly for her role in Salman Khan’s 2011 film Ready, where she played Aisha Chaudhary, the daughter-in-law of Amar Chaudhary, played by Akhilendra Mishra. After Ready, Eva stepped away from the limelight and has since maintained a low profile. Her last television appearance was in Tashan-E-Ishq from 2015 to 2016.

During the podcast, Eva reflected on her tumultuous marriage. She admitted to making mistakes in her relationship with Hyder Ali Khan but expressed that she had tried her hardest to make the marriage work. “I had all the happiness in the world and was doing well professionally, but what I really wanted was a home, a loving husband, and kids,” Eva explained.

She revealed the marriage was a love marriage, one that she had entered into impulsively. “We eloped and got married in just 18 days. My mother didn’t want me to marry him because it was an inter-faith relationship. But by the fourth day, I realized marriage wasn’t what I thought it would be,” Eva shared.

The marriage, which lasted five years, was filled with difficulties and heartbreak. “I tried my best to save my marriage. I even had a child hoping it would make things better, but nothing worked. He wasn’t mature enough for that kind of responsibility,” she said. Eva described it as “one of the most abusive marriages” she had experienced.
