Janhvi Kapoor has often grabbed headlines for her rumoured relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. They have been often spotted together. Well, recently in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Janhvi was seen talking about her wedding rumours which went viral. To note, the actress is currently on a promotion spree for her next film Mr & Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao.
She said, “I read something very stupid just recently where they said that I have confirmed some relationship aur meri shadi hone wali hai. People mixed up 2-3 articles saying I am getting married. They are getting me married in a week which I am not okay with (laughs). I want to work at the moment.”
In a recent interaction, the actress admitted to checking her boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya’s phone. In a video, which is going viral on X, Janhvi reveals that she often checks her boyfriend’s phone. Although she calls her habit of checking her partner’s phone “a red flag”, she says she can’t help it. “I know it’s a red flag but I still check (my partner’s) phone,” Janhvi said in the video. When someone in the audience asked Janhvi, “Should boyfriends be allowed to check their girlfriends’ phone?” The actress replied, “No! Don’t you trust us?”
Janhvi Kapoor recently confirmed dating Shikhar Pahariya. The duo, who had broken up earlier, reconciled around Diwali 2022. Speaking to Mirchi Plus, Janhvi said, “He (Shikhar Pahariya) has been in my life since I was 15-16. I think my dreams have always been his dreams and his dreams have always been my dreams. We’ve been very close. We’ve been each other’s support system almost as if we’ve raised each other.”
On the work front, the trailer of Mr & Mrs Mahi released a few weeks ago. The trailer portrays the actors as a married couple deeply passionate about cricket. Janhvi Kapoor’s character is depicted as a doctor who finds joy in both watching and playing cricket, while Rajkummar Rao’s character is portrayed as an aspiring cricketer striving to establish himself in the sport.
Apart from Janhvi and Rajkummar, the film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya also have key roles. The film is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Mr & Mrs Mahi will be released on May 31.
