Jr NTR starrer Devara Part 1 has become the talk of the town since its inception. Now, reports related to this film are out in the public domain. As per reports, Devara Part 1 has become a commercial success with substantial profits, even before its release.
According to the reports, prominent producer Dil Raju has acquired the distribution rights for this film, in Nizamabad, Telangana. On the other hand, Sithara Entertainments has also secured Devara’s distribution rights in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Karan Johar of Dharma Productions and Anil Thadani of AA Films have acquired the North India theatrical distribution rights.
Devara’s overseas deal has reportedly been finalised at Rs 27 crore. Reports claim that the OTT platform Netflix has bought the digital rights to this magnum opus for a record price of Rs 155 crore. Regarding the satellite rights, Star Maa TV has purchased it.
Earlier, Devara Part 1 was expected to hit the big screens on October 10. Now, it has been postponed and will hit the silver screens on September 27, 2024. In a statement, the makers said, “We are glad to announce that Devara Part 1 directed by Koratala Siva will now be released on 27th September 2024. We have planned this move keeping in mind how the film is coming together and we don’t wish to keep the fans waiting anymore.”

Devara will be released in two parts. Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts have produced this much-anticipated project while Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will present this film. Devara features Jr NTR in the lead role, with Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan also starring in significant roles. Anirudh Ravichander has crafted the musical score while R Rathnavelu is in charge of cinematography. It marks Janhvi’s debut in South films and her first-ever collaboration with Jr NTR.
Just like RRR, this Telugu film will reportedly have high-octane action sequences that are expected to entertain the audience. According to reports, Devara is being produced on a huge budget. The makers are reportedly spending a whopping Rs 140 crore on its VFX. The rumour mill is rife and the makers are also spending 33 per cent of the film’s original budget on special effects.
