Karan Johar recently announced his next directorial venture on his birthday.

Karan Johar is celebrating his 52nd birthday today. On his special day, wishes from all over the film fraternity have been pouring in for him. That said, his OG students, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra, also sent in their heartfelt wishes for him.

Alia Bhatt shared a happy photo from her wedding day with Karan and wrote, “Happy Birthday to the most loving, generous and pure soul…my K! No words are ever enough to tell you how much I love you!”

Sidharth Malhotra on the other hand shared, “Happy Birthday @karanjohar…Wishing you a year filled with love and excellent health. Big hug!”

Varun Dhawan on the other hand shared, “Karannn ur the funniest most intelligent human being I know with the largedt heart. Love you always, no conditions @karanjohar.”

Back in 2012, Karan Johar launched Alia, Varun and Sidharth with the film Student Of The Year. The film marked their debut, and also their official entry in the world of cinema. He shares a close bond with them and is often seen cheering for them for their professional endeavours.

Karan on his birthday, took to his Instagram handle to share that he will soon be directing a movie. KJo shared a picture of himself in which he was seen holding a notepad that read, “Untitled Narration Draft. Directed By: Karan Johar. 25th May 2024.” In the caption of his post, Karan wrote, “Get…Set…Go” along with a red heart emoji.

Needless to say, Karan Johar’s announcement has left netizens super excited. Soon after the post was shared, fans rushed to the comments section and urged KJo to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan once again. “One more with SRK please!!❤️” one of the fans wrote. “PLEASE BRING BACK SRK AND KAJOL!!!!!” added another. “Bring back SRK kajol, please,” a third comment read.

Karan Johar’s successful foray into Bollywood came in the form of his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, in 1998. The film, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji, became an instant blockbuster and garnered numerous awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. It also established his solid professional partnership with the three superstars who headlined his first film.
