Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan headed to Chennai on Sunday afternoon to attend the IPL 2024 finale match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Shah Rukh was spotted days after he was hospitalised for heat stroke and dehydration. His recent spotting hints that he has fully recovered and is ready to cheer his team on. In a video shared by a paparazzo, SRK was seen entering a private airport in Mumbai. He avoided the paparazzi by using an umbrella and wearing fully covered clothes.
While the match can turn in anyone’s favour, fans are reminiscing the time when Bollywood’s beloved Badshah, Shahrukh Khan, basked in the glory of Kolkata Knight Riders’ victory at the Chinnaswamy Stadium back in 2014, during IPL 7. With his daughter Suhana by his side, the tension reached its peak until spinner Piyush Chawla sealed the win with a boundary off Parwinder Awana’s final over. SRK couldn’t contain his excitement as KKR clinched their second title in as many years. Joining his team for a celebratory lap, Shah Rukh couldn’t resist grooving to the beats of his hit, Chaiyya, Chaiyya, bringing the stadium to life. Cheers echoed as he hailed his boys for an unbeatable run in the tournament, defeating rivals eight times in a row to secure their spot in the final, including a memorable showdown against the Kings in the qualifier match.
Either the cup is too big or my nose is. Either way the victory of my KKR boys is the biggest still. Love u. Get ready Kolkata we rule!!!!— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) June 1, 2014
Fans are rooting for KKR to win so Shah Rukh can take another victory lap. After a big IPL win in the playoffs, he celebrated with his daughter Suhana and youngest son AbRam, striking his iconic pose for stadium fans and embracing his team players. Plus, SRK, known for his encouraging nature, chatted with Sunrisers Hyderabad players after the match.
Earlier last week, Shah Rukh was hospitalised in Ahmedabad a day after his team, KKR, advanced into the IPL 2024 finals. The actor reportedly suffered a heat stroke and was dehydrated. Speaking with News18, KKR’s co-owner and his good friend Juhi Chawla said, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up, and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals.”
