Amar Singh Chamkila revolves around the life of the legendary Punjabi singer, Amar Singh Chamkila, portrayed by Diljit Dosanjh, with Parineeti Chopra essaying the role of Chamkila’s singing partner and wife, Amarjot. Both actors have been widely acclaimed for their performances in the film.
Speaking about the positive reviews, Parineeti Chopra recently said, “After release day, things were beyond my expectations. Of course, Diljit being Diljit, his performance and Chamkila’s story were phenomenal. Everyone’s getting well-deserved love, but I never thought I’d receive the same level of appreciation. As an actor, I always try to give it my all. All we ever want are results, for our hard work not to go in vain. But this kind of response? It’s something I never expected, and I really feel validated today,” as reported by Pinkvilla.
Previously, Parineeti Chopra penned a thank you note on the microblogging site X, (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Currently curled up in my blanket. Overwhelmed with your words, your calls, and the movie reviews. (Tears are not stopping). ‘PARINEETI IS BACK.’ These words are ringing loud. Hadn’t thought of this. Yes, I am back, and not going anywhere!”
