Mammootty Shares First Look Poster From New Film Dominic And The Ladies' Purse On 73rd Birthday

Celebrating his 73rd birthday on September 7, Malayalam superstar Mammootty continues to impress fans with his presence on screen. The legendary actor marked his special day by revealing his next project, Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse. The film is being produced under Mammootty’s own banner, Mammootty Kampany. The actor shared the poster and his first look in the film on X. The poster shows Mammootty in an intriguing and mysterious avatar, casually dressed in a bathrobe. The scene in the poster, with an open ladies’ purse and scattered items in the room, hints at a suspenseful storyline and teases fans about what could be in store.

In the post, Mammootty tagged director Gautham Vasudev Menon, confirming his role as the filmmaker for this upcoming venture. “Presenting the First Look Poster of Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse, Directed by @menongautham & Produced by @MKampanyOffl,” Mammootty wrote.

The poster for Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse offers a lot of intriguing details, with a woman’s black purse and scattered papers on the floor, adding to the mystery. Interestingly, a cat is seen following Mammootty as he appears to be stepping out of the poster itself.

Behind him, the background features a James Bond poster and a pinboard covered with photos and sticky notes, hinting at a detective theme. Although the plot and Mammootty’s role haven’t been fully revealed yet, the setup suggests he might be playing a detective in this film.

Written by Sooraj R and Neeraj R, this film is Mammootty’s sixth project under his production company, Mammootty Kampany. Filming started reportedly in July this year, with locations in Kochi and Munnar, and the project is now close to wrapping up. Vishnu Dev is in charge of cinematography, and the music is being composed by Darbuka Siva.

The cast also includes Gokul Suresh, Lena and Viji Venkatesh, known for Pachuvum Adbhutavilakam, in key roles. It’s been reported that Ramesh Pisharati and Lena gave the first clap for the film. As of now, the release date for Dominic and The Ladies’ Purse is yet to be revealed.

Apart from this project, Mammootty also has Bazooka, directed by Deeno Dennis, lined up for release in 2024. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Gautham Vasudev Menon, Neeta Pillai, Babu Antony and Gayathiri Iyer.
