Meet Bijesh, Fahadh Fassil's Lookalike Who Sells Newspapers

A video of someone resembling Fahadh Faasil, seen delivering newspapers door-to-door, recently went viral. It gained over eight million views on social media. The individual, identified as Bijesh, bears a striking resemblance to Fahadh Faasil’s character Shammi from the film Kumbalangi Nights.

Bijesh, a resident of Mananthavady, Wayanad, operates his newspaper agency and also engages in driving autorickshaws and agricultural activities. He lives with his wife and two children.

“Some people have remarked that there’s a resemblance, particularly when viewed from the side. The thick moustache adds to the similarity, and the coincidence struck me when I saw him riding a bike with a helmet on. It was intriguing to hear so many people making comparisons, which made me happy. My friends even asked my children about it, and they were amused by the attention. However, my wife mentioned that she didn’t see the resemblance to Fahad at all,” Bijesh shared in an interview.

A call was received from Fahadh’s partner Bhavana Studios inquiring about Bijesh, and they requested a photo to be sent. It remains to be seen whether this resemblance to Fahad will lead to Bijesh appearing in a future film.

Fahadh Faasil, who last appeared in Malayalam cinema in the Akhil Sathyan film Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum is gearing up to star in the film Karate Chandran. Directed by Roy, the film is produced by the production house Bhavana Studios, in collaboration with Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran.

Bhavana Studios recently backed the Naslen-Mamitha Baiju starrer Premalu which is enjoying a successful run in theaters. Their roster of other projects includes acclaimed films such as Kumbalangi Nights, Joji, Thankam and Palthu Janwar.

In the upcoming movie, Fahadh Faasil will portray the titular character Karate Chandran. The script is penned by writers S Hareesh and Vinoy Thomas. While the makers have not disclosed the genre of the film, there is a possibility that it will offer a blend of humour and action.
