Pawan Kalyan REACTS To Karthi's Apology About Tirupati Laddu Issue, Sends Special Message to Suriya
Pawan Kalyan reacted to Karthi's apology over his reaction to claims that animal fat was used in the making of Tirupati laddus.

Pawan Kalyan broke his silence on Karthi’s apology with regard to the Tirupati Laddu controversy. Earlier in the day, Karthi had apologised for laughing when asked about claims that animal fat was used as an ingredient in the laddus at Tirupati’s Sri Venkateswara Temple. Taking to X, Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged Karthi’s apology and explained the reason he decided to shed light on his behaviour.

“Dear @Karthi_Offl garu, I sincerely appreciate your kind gesture and swift response, as well as the respect you’ve shown towards our shared traditions. Matters concerning our sacred institutions, like Tirupati and its revered prasadam laddus, carry deep emotional weight for millions of devotees, and it’s essential for all of us to handle such topics with care,” Pawan Kalyan wrote.

“That said, I wanted to bring this to your notice with no intentions behind it, and I understand the situation was unintentional. Our responsibility as public figures is to foster unity and respect, especially regarding what we cherish most—our culture and spiritual values. Let’s always strive to uplift these values while continuing to inspire through cinema. I would also like to express my admiration for you as a remarkable actor whose dedication and talent have consistently enriched our cinema,” he added.

Pawan Kalyan sent his best wishes to Karthi, Suriya and Jyotika as they prepare for the release of Meiyazhagan, releasing as Sathyam Sundaram in Telugu. Suriya and Jyotika are co-producers of the film. “Wishing you (Karthi), @Suriya_offl garu, #Jyotika garu, and the entire team at @2D_ENTPVTLTD a successful release of #Meiyazhagan / #SathyamSundaram. May it resonate with audiences and bring joy to many,” he wrote.

About Tirupati Laddu Controversy:

A massive row erupted on September 18 after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed that animal fat was used in Tirupati laddus during the previous government when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister of the state. In return, Reddy’s party, YSRCP, accused Naidu of indulging in “heinous allegations” for political gains.

Andhra Pradesh IT Minister and Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, added that the lab reports clearly established that beef fat, fish oil and lard were used to make laddoos.
