Deepika Padukone's latest outing Padmaavat has earned critical acclaim for her. Not only did Bollywood celebs and film critics appreciate Deepika's portrayal of Rani Padmavati but also her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's parents couldn't resist praising the actor's performance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh watched the period drama at a special preview on Thursday.
Deepika, who dated Ranbir for over two years, took to Instagram to thank his parents for taking their time out to watch the movie.
"It was so lovely seeing both of you yesterday... Thank You for all the love and appreciation! @neetu54 #RishiKapoor,” Deepika wrote alongside a picture of a card and flowers sent by Mr and Mrs Kapoor.
Deepika and Ranbir started dating in 2008 a few months after the release of their respective film debuts. They parted ways in 2010 after Ranbir reportedly cheated on the Padmaavat actor with Katrina Kaif.
