'Role In Dhanush's Idli Kadai Most Demanding In My Career': Nithya Menen
Nithya Menen mentioned that her role in Idli Kadai is pushing her out of her comfort zone in ways she didn’t expect.

It was earlier reported that Nithya Menen was roped in to appear in Dhanush’s next directorial Idli Kadai. Nithya Menen, in her recent interview, has shared insights into her experience working on the upcoming film Idli Kadai and her continued collaboration with actor Dhanush.

While she remains tight-lipped about specific details regarding the film, Nithya mentioned that she has only shot for a few days so far. She hinted, however, that the role is one of the most demanding of her career, pushing her out of her comfort zone in ways she didn’t expect. Reflecting on her character, she drew a comparison with her role as Shobana in Thiruchitrambalam, saying, “If Shobana from Thiruchitrambalam demanded me to step out of my comfort zone, then Idli Kadai demands double of that.”

In addition to discussing her role, Nithya spoke at length about her professional relationship with Dhanush. In an interview with Zoom, she opened up about how their dynamic on set is one of mutual respect and creative inspiration. “Professionally, Dhanush and I share a very complementary relationship. He really values and appreciates what I am able to bring to a character or a film,” she shared.

She added that one of the qualities she admires most about Dhanush is his forthrightness. According to Nithya, Dhanush is deeply focused on cinema, with a clear vision of the kinds of films he wants to make. His passion for storytelling and filmmaking drives him to constantly strive for excellence, and Nithya feels privileged to be part of that journey. She also revealed that Dhanush frequently seeks her input and feedback on various creative ideas, often brainstorming new stories when they meet. “When he sees me, he gets inspired and comes up with multiple different stories and asks me for my opinion,” she said.

Nithya Menen’s partnership with Dhanush has already proven successful, as seen in their previous film Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar. The film garnered critical acclaim, and Nithya’s portrayal of Shobana earned her a National Award for her performance in the film.
