Shah Rukh Khan Encourages Voting Before Phase 5 Of Mumbai Lok Sabha Elections: 'Lets Do Our Duty'

Prior to the fifth phase of voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election in Mumbai, renowned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan encouraged all individuals to participate in the electoral process. The actor, known for his role in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’, utilized his official X account to convey this message to his 44 million followers.

Shah Rukh Khan penned, “As responsible Indian citizens we must exercise our right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. Let’s carry out our duty as Indians and vote keeping our country’s best interests in mind. Go forth Promote, our right to Vote.”

Just yesterday, Salman Khan has also requested everyone to exercise their right to vote, in the light of the fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Mumbai, “I exercise 365 days a year no matter what and now I’m going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. So do whatever you want to do man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata… Bharat Mata ki Jai!,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to reunite with Anirudh Ravichander. The music composer who worked with King Khan for his 2023 movie Jawan, has now been reportedly roped in for the actor’s upcoming movie, King.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan was “very happy” with the way Anirudh worked on Jawan’s music and therefore, the actor has decided to work with him again. Reportedly, Anirudh has now been roped in to produce the theme music for SRK’s King. The composer is said to be excited about the venture and is likely to begin working on the film in August 2024.

“King is a one of its kind action thriller, that will introduce a new flavour of action to the audience. Shah Rukh Khan, Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh understand the importance of BGM for a film in this space and have roped in the best in business – Anirudh,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.

“The pre-production work for King has already begun and the makers are aiming to take the film on floors by August 2024. There is a possibility of an announcement via a proper video asset and Anirudh is already working on the theme music for the film,” the insider added.

King is being produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and is also likely to star SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan. Recently, it was revealed that Shah Rukh will be playing a Don in his film. Much like his OG Don role, he will have shades of grey in King.

Recently, the actor was speaking for Knight Club’s King Khan Rules on Star Sports when he shared insights on his return to the shooting schedule for the year. Shah Rukh mentioned that last year, he had three movie releases (Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki), which kept him constantly engaged. Considering the physical demands of his roles, he opted to take a break and focus on his IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

“I just felt ki main thoda rest kar sakta hoon. Teen filmein kar chuka hoon, it took a lot of physical work also. So I said maybe I’ll take some time off. I told the whole team ki, main matches ko aaunga. Fortunately, meri shooting ab August main hain, ya July… we plan in June, to June se shuru hojayegi. So, I am absolutely free to come to all the matches. Main khushi se aata hoon. (I felt I could rest. I did three physically demanding films. I told the whole team I’ll come to their matches. Fortunately, I don’t shoot my next till August or June, we plan in June. It makes me happy to be here),” he said.
