Shamita-Shilpa Shetty's performance to Shahid-Alia's chemistry: Why 'Jhalak Finale' was a must watch
Here is a look at why the ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded’ finale was an absolute must watch.

For well over two months the much talked about dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded’ had been a source of lively entertainment for the TV audience, courtesy its high glamour quotient, mesmorising performances, dramatic confrontations and of course, intriguing twists and turns.

As such, die-hard fans and casual viewers alike had sky high expectations from its grand finale which aired this Saturday. And well to say the very least the star-studded extravaganza surpassed these expectations by the proverbial mile, adding a new dimension to the ‘Jhalak’ franchise. Here is a look at why the ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded’ finale was an absolute must watch.

Shamita and Shipa’s sister act: Right at the beginning of the show, Shamita Shetty floored all and sundry, delivering a graceful and captivating performance. Shortly thereafter, the ‘Cash’ star was joined on stage by her sister and noted actress Shilpa Shetty.

The two shared a crackling rapport and there was something truly heartwarming about the way the Shilpa supported her sister. Moreover, the glamourous divas set the stage on fire and grooved together. However, their tryst with the limelight was far from over as they were soon joined by their father.

Interestingly, despite his age, the Shetty patriarch agreed to showcase his dancing skills. And needless to say he did his bit with tremendous enthusiasm. All of this resulted in a surreal moment that highlighted the importance of the family in Indian culture.

Flawless Manish Paul: Manish Paul’s nearly flawless anchoring also proved to be one of the biggest talking points of the ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded’ finale. The 34-year-old shared a wonderful rapport with the finalists and the judges. Moreover, his comic timing seemed to be pretty spot on while some of his punches were quite witty. As such, his lively gigs served as perfect fillers between the performances and helped in adding an aura of humour to the tense onscreen environment.

Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Shaandaar’ act: The mania surrounding the star studded spectacle received a new lease of life thanks to the presence of upcoming actress Alia Bhatt. The 22-year-old made her entry in a hilarious way while pretending to be asleep. Thereafter, she was joined by the Shahid Kapoor. After a bit of leg pulling the two spoke about ‘Shaandaar’.

The entire act went a long way in creating a buzz about the movie. Moreover, the skillfully crafted segment also took a quick and witty jab at the trend of promoting films through reality shows. However, the proverbial icing on the cake came when the Alia and ‘Shasha’ entralled viewers with a spirited performance. The act reminded all and sundry of the ‘Haider’ actor’s effortless and graceful dancing style.

Bharati’s “roast”: Just like Manish Paul, Bharati too left the audiences in splits with her sharp and witty comic punches. The comedian very gracefully “roasted” everybody in attendance right from the Judges to the finalists. While all her gigs were effective, it was the ‘Phata Poster’ reference which stole the thunder. The gig’s impact was magnified because of Shahid Kapoor’s quirky expressions.

A fitting conclusion: The best part of the finale was undoubtedly its heart-warming climax. Faisal’s victory proved to be a monumental development for quite a few reasons. To begin with it symbolized the triumph of the underdog. Moreover, it proved that pure passion can overcome a lack of experience and enable the youth to do wonders. Interestingly, the impact of Faisal’s win was magnified even further by his sincere and ‘straight from the heart’ victory speech.
