Sidharth Malhotra played the role of Param Vir Chakra recipient Captain Vikram Batra in the film.

It has been three years since Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s Shershaah was released. The actor marked the occasion with a heartfelt post on Instagram. Sharing a bunch of pictures featuring his stills from the film, the actor also penned an elaborate note. In the note, Sidharth reflected on his experience of being a part of the film and meeting Captain Vikram Batra’s family. In his caption, Sidharth wrote, “Three years since Shershaah! Portraying Captain Vikram Batra was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, bringing to life the story of a legendary hero honored with the Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards.” “Meeting his incredible family made the journey unforgettable. Here’s to celebrating the legacy of a real hero and the memories we created! #3YearsOfShershaah,” the actor further added.

Directed by Vishnuvardhan and backed by Karan Johar, Shershaah is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra recipient Vikram Batra, who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War. As the film chronicled the life of the Kargil War hero, fans poured in love for the lead cast of the film. Besides, the film also bagged the prestigious National Film Award. ICYMI, Sidharth Malhotra and his wife Kiara Advani’s love blossomed on the sets of the film. After dating for a while, the couple got married on February 7, 2023, in Jaisalmer.

Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra’s last theatrical release Yodha failed to leave an impression on the audience’s heart. Besides Sidharth, the film also starred Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. Next up, the actor has Mitti in the kitty. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film is reportedly being shot in Uttarakhand.
