Sidharth Malhotra has won everyone’s hearts from his performance in Yodha. The actor was loved. However, since then his fans have been waiting for his next film announcement. But now there is an exciting piece of news. Sidharth Malhotra and Kriti Sanon are set to share the screen for the first time in an upcoming romantic film. Bollywood Hungama has shared the news.
The film is yet to be titled and nothing has been much shared. But it will be really interesting to see this new pair on screen. The latest report by Bollywood Hungama mentions that Sidharth and Kriti are teaming up for a love story produced by Maddock Films. It is also reported that Sidharth has also signed a desi mass action entertainer produced by Murad Khetani.
Meanwhile, speculations are rife that he is all geared up to star in a romantic comedy alongside his wife Kiara Advani, marking their second collaboration. When asked about the same in a conversation with ETimes, the Yodha actor shared an update saying, “That’s very much on the table.”
Further expanding on the project, he added, “We can’t say for sure, but we were very interested in working together and finding the correct script combination, where both of us justify our roles. Also, the audience gets to see us after Shershaah, which we got a lot of love for. It is about getting the correct elements in place.”
Sidharth last entertained his fans with his big-screen appearance in Yodha. The film also starred Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani as the female protagonists. It managed to perform decently at the box office and received mixed responses from the audiences and the critics alike.
On the other hand, Kriti Sanon was last seen in Crew co starring Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film, a comedy drama, centres around the lives of three flight attendants in a financially struggling airline sector. However, their destiny turns, and the trio gets an opportunity to make money illegally but gets entangled in a web of lies and deception. The movie got immense accolades, minting a total of Rs 75 crore at the box office.
Talking about her professional commitments, Kriti Sanon is roped in for the fifth installment of Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 with Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh. She will also be seen in the crime thriller Do Patti, alongside Kajol. The movie marks Kriti’s debut as a producer under her banner, Blue Butterfly Films. Moreover, the actress has Bhediya 2 in her kitty opposite Varun Dhawan.
