Singer Monali Thakur is presently going through a tough phase of her life, having to come to terms with the fact that her mother has passed away. Monali’s mother breathed her last on May 17, at a time when the singer was performing for a stage show in Bangladesh. The Khudaya Khair singer showed a true spirit of professionalism and completed her stage show, despite hearing the news of her mother’s death.

Monali has now paid a heartfelt tribute and bid goodbye to her mother in a barrage of words that encapsulate her strong love for her mother in a social media post. She has also added many pictures of her with her mother, along with some solo photos of her and one with her departed father. Referring to her mother, she said that the one who gave her wings grew her own and took off to join her father and Daichi (their deceased pet dog). Monali said that she would also join her when her time comes but till then she bids her farewell and offers her love.

“I hope you know I am the proudest daughter and the luckiest one to have been born to you Maa, and to have gotten this kind of Love and support, wisdom and innocence from a virgin heart like yours…Such a beautiful and strong woman you have been Maa,” Monali wrote in her post.

Monali Thakur lost her father Shakti Thakur to a heart attack in 2020 when she was in Switzerland. She has been married to Maik Richter, a resident of Switzerland. However, the singer, who tied the knot in 2017, kept her relationship hidden from the world for many years and often travelled between the two countries. She made the marriage public only in June 2020 after releasing her single Dil Ka Fitoor” which features her along with Maik.
