Sonakshi Sinha's Mother and Brother 'Unfollowed' Actress Amid Her Wedding With Zaheer Iqbal?

Actress Sonakshi Sinha’s family members including her mother Poonam Sinha and brother Luv Sinha have sparked concern ahead of her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal after a viral post on Reddit claimed that the duo doesn’t follow the ‘Heeramandi’ star on Instagram. Sonakshi has been subjected to intense scrutiny ever since an audio invite of her wedding with Zaheer surfaced on the internet. There are also rumours doing the rounds that her father, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, is allegedly upset with her for not informing him about her wedding plans.

Amid all of this, the Reddit post claims that Sonakshi’s mom and brother Luv don’t follow the actress on social media. News18 Showsha cannot verify if they used to follow Sonakshi earlier. However, she is currently not there on their followers list.

The post has gone viral on Reddit, with fans wondering if all is well between Sonakshi and her family. One user commented, “Looks like mom and one brother aren’t happy about this wedding. Was this the same brother who said I have no involvement in this matter, when asked about her wedding?” Another one said, “If it’s intentional, it’s sad. I hope Sonakshi and her BF have a long and fulfilling marriage.”

Earlier, Luv Sinha had reacted to the reports of her sister’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal in a conversation with ETimes. Luv, who is reportedly out of the city, chose to remain tight-lipped about the matter. He told ETimes, “I’m out of Mumbai at the moment, and if it’s regarding the news published, I have no comment or involvement in the matter.”

However, a section of the internet believes that it’s “an over analysis” and one can’t expect parents to show their disagreement by “follow-unfollow game” on Instagram. One user said, “Her mother was there with her at Heeramandi premiere. So maybe recently something happened, or maybe we are over analysing and her mom is just not active on Instagram.” Another one commented, “Bro most parents don’t use Instagram like that. Unnecessary speculations.”

Meanwhile, Pahlaj Nihalani, who calls himself Sonakshi’s ‘mama’, has claimed that Shatrughan Sinha is miffed with the actress for not informing him about her wedding plans. In his first reaction to the wedding rumours, Shatrughan had admitted that he wasn’t aware about the wedding.

Speaking with Times Now/Zoom, Pahlaj said “Ha (he is upset), but he can’t remain upset for long, not with Sonakshi. She is his laadli. Shaadi nahin attend karne ka koi sawaal hi nahi paida hota. As Shatruji said to you, aaj kal he bachche inform karte hain, permission nahin lete. Why should he be upset if Sonakshi is marrying the boy of her choice? Shatruji himself married a girl of his choice forty years ago. Even I chose my own life partner when I married my wife. One should not have unrealistic expectations from one’s children.”
