Kannada actor Mithra has been entertaining audiences with various roles both on screen and on television for the last two decades. Appreciated for his versatility, especially in comedic and emotional roles, Mithra has now changed his image as an actor.
Mithra played a minor role in the movie Max. During the dubbing session, Kichcha Sudeep was surprised by Mithra’s new appearance and expressed his opinion. Kichcha Sudeep said that such transformations are essential for an artist’s growth. Mithra’s friends were also impressed by his new look, which even had a touch of corporate villain.
For the first time, Mithra has grown a beard, a look that debuted in the movie Kavita. Mitra also discussed this change with News-18 Kannada Digital. The actor has shed his innocent roles and is essaying a character with a negative hue in the upcoming Gurudatha Ganiga directorial Karavali, starring Prajwal Devaraj in the lead role. Mithra’s fierce look has been captured by Abhimanyu Sadanand, the cinematographer of Karavali. Mithra sees this makeover as a turning point in his career.
He will also be seen in a negative role in Jadeshaa K Hampi’s next film, tentatively titled VK 21, which stars Vijay Kumar, and another Kannada film. He has also been selected as the villain for a Tamil film.
“I have been focusing on comedy roles for a long time, but now I want to shine as a fierce villain in Sandalwood. I am glad that my new look with the long white beard and hair has caught the attention of many filmmakers who are approaching me for various roles. It feels good to be the new sought-after villain,” says Mithra, adding, “An artist should never settle for one role. We have to adapt according to our age.”
