Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour Concert has been making waves amongst her fans, the Swifties. The pop icon is sending concert-goers into a frenzy with her hit songs, engaging performances, and surprise tracks. Amidst this, Taylor Swift has added another feather to her crown, thanks to one of her die-hard admirers. The singer’s 2020 track Exile from her eighth studio album Folklore, witnessed a huge streaming surge across audio platforms in the last few days of February. The credit goes to an Australian Swiftie, Madison Blackband. The 20-year-old attended Taylor Swift’s Day 3 concert at Accor Stadium in Sydney on February 25. When she dropped a TikTok video reacting to Exile, her heartwarming response not only received millions of views but helped the song reach new heights.
According to a report by Luminate, before the now-viral TikTok video, Exile earned 1.12 million US streams on-demand. However, from February 25 to February 27 the track increased by 16 percent to 1.30 million streams. In the clip, Madison Blackband, a resident of Brisbane, was seen doubling over her friend’s arms, sobbing and crying after hearing the hard-hitting lyrics of Exile. “My reaction to Taylor singing Exile (also known as the song that saved my life)” her caption read.

As soon as the Taylor Swift fan posted the video, it soon clocked more than 10 million TikTok views, also sparking multiple memes. Exile, featuring American band Bon Iver witnessed a massive influx of streams as the masses were curious about the meaning of the lyrics that made the Australia-based Swiftie breakdown into tears. In an interaction with Rolling Stone, Madison Blackband revealed that she was stunned after her cellphone was bombarded with messages and likes the following morning after she posted the video.
“I went on (to X) and the first thing that popped up was this video. And I was like, ‘Oh, it’s happened.’ I posted it intending it for like 200 people, not millions,” she admitted.
Speaking of Taylor Swift, the Anti-Hero singer is presently entertaining her fans in Singapore at the National Stadium. The last leg of her Singapore concert will be wrapped up on March 9. After that, she will move forward for yet another string of magical and musical nights in Paris, France at the Paris La Defense Arena.
