As per reports, Tillu Square, in just three days, crossed the lifetime collection of DJ Tillu, which minted Rs 31 crore gross at the worldwide box office.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran’s recently released movie, Tillu Square, has created quite a stir at the box office with its rocking performance in the first weekend. The movie hit the silver screens on March 29 and has set the cash registers ringing not just in India, but is even grabbing the attention in overseas markets. It is now predicted that the movie might emerge to be a huge blockbuster.

On Day 1, Tillu Square pulled double the crowd of its first instalment, DJ Tillu. As per Sacnilk, on the third day, Tillu Square earned Rs 11.1 crore, which makes the total box office collection of the movie Rs 32.55 crore in India. On the other hand, Tillu Square did a business of Rs 68.3 crore gross in three days of release.

Now, in the overseas market, the movie had a great start and has already collected a gross of Rs 19 crore. The total worldwide box office collection now stands at Rs 57.94 crore gross. As per reports, Tillu Square in just three days has already crossed the lifetime collection of DJ Tillu, which minted Rs 31 crore gross at the worldwide box office.

Looking at the huge success of the movie across the globe and its worldwide box office collections, reportedly, the makers have decided to go ahead with a sequel of Tillu Square which will be named Tillu Cube. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

Tillu Square is a Telugu romantic crime comedy movie helmed by Mallik Ram and backed by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. It stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Anupama Parameswaran, Madonna Sebastian, Muralidhar Goud and Praneeth Reddy Kallem to name a few. It is the sequel to DJ Tillu which was directed by Vimal Krishna. The movie opened to positive reviews from cinema-goers and critics alike.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Siddhu Jonnalagadda opened up about the challenges of making a sequel and called it “like going to a war zone”. The actor earlier said that he believes that the sequel needs to be “thematically engaging” and should surprise the audience as much as the prequel.
