Actress-producer Tejaswini Pandit, a well-known figure in the film Marathi Film industry, made her debut production in the Marathi film, Yek Number, which hit the theatres on October 10.
In a recent interview, actress Tejaswini Pandit shared her experience as a producer. During the interview, Tejaswini Pandit mentioned that they had made a film on the subject of Raj Saheb Thackeray. They started the shooting process after completing all legal procedures and obtaining the necessary approvals.
Praising the acting skills in the movie, Pandit mentions that Dhariya Gholap and Sayli Patil perfectly portrayed the roles of Pratap and Pinky.
Nevertheless, the actress Sayli Patil, while speaking in an interview, mentions their experience of the film and their bond with each other. Actress Sayni Patil recalled one incident during the shoot of the film, which was quite surprising for her. During the interview, the actress mentions, “Something different happened to me after the dialogue in Gawran language in the movie, I paused for 1 minute and everyone present on the sets clapped for me. I was full then”. Dhairya Gholap also attended the interview and shared his experience working with Sayli Patil. The actor mentioned that when he first met with Sayni Patil, he was tormented. Due to this, their friendship strengthened and their work on screen has also become very good.
The movie revolves around a simple plot about a young man who dreams of participating in politics and marrying the love of his life. The storyline is straightforward as it carries out a series of political commentary. Although, the main thing that makes this movie a cinematic spectacle is not the plot but the cast and their outstanding performance. Following this, the dialogues and strong direction also add this film to the list of Marathi cinematic spectacles.
The movie was directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, and produced under the banner, of Zee Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Sahyadri Films, whose designated partners are actor-producer Tejaswini Pandit and Thackeray’s son Amit Raj Thackeray. The inspiration for the movie came from Thackeray’s famous phrase, “Lav re toh video”, during his 2019 election rallies.
