Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are finally married and glimpses from their special day are surfacing on social media. In a viral video, Zaheer could be seen touching Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha’s feet and giving Sonakshi a sweet kiss after signing the wedding papers.

Earlier this week, Shatrughan Sinha confirmed that there were some tensions in his family about Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. However, the veteran actor also clarified that all “stress” has been resolved.
Speaking to Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha said, “Shadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever the stress has been sorted,” he said and added, “Koi wand nahi hai. Yeh sab hota hi hai har shaadi main. Just because she is Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, it doesn’t mean Sonakshi can’t have what she wants in life. Hum log bohot maza karenge June 23 ko.”
Rumours of a rift between Sonakshi and Shatrughan first began after the actor said that he was not aware of her forthcoming wedding. However, Shatrughan, in a recent interview, said that Sonakshi has “every right to choose her partner” and he is supportive of her decision. Commenting on his daughter’s husband-to-be, Shatrughan said, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live their life together. They look very nice together.” He continued, “Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business.”
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in a civil ceremony, attended by their families. Sonakshi looked beautiful in an off-white sari and minimal jewellery. She added white roses to her hair bun. Zaheer looked dapper in a white kurta. In a recent interview, Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, shed light on their marriage when he told Free Press Journal, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”
Meanwhile, after the wedding ceremony, Sonakshi and Zaheer will host a wedding party in Mumbai’s Bastian, and several Bollywood stars are expected to attend. It will reportedly be a star-studded affair. Previously, Honey Singh and Poonam Dhillon confirmed that they have also been invited.
A source close to the couple told News18 Showsha earlier that Salman Khan has also been sent an invitation. Sonakshi has also invited her Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar co-stars including Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharmin Segal Mehta among others.
