Anushka Sharma is rumoured to be pregnant with her second baby. The actress, who is married to Virat Kohli, is yet to comment on the reports claiming she is pregnant again. However, an old video of the actress speaking about quitting acting after having children has now gone viral. In the video, Anushka is seen speaking with Simi Garewal about her future when she confessed she might not work after marriage and having children.
Appearing on Simi’s show, India’s Most Desirable, Anushka said, “Marriage is very important. I want to be married, I want to have kids. And when I am married, I probably do not want to be working.”

Anushka took a break from acting in 2018 after the release of Zero. She decided to take a break to spend more time with Virat. A year and a half into the break, Anushka announced that she was pregnant. She and Virat welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021. Anushka is slated to make a comeback on the big screen with Chakda Xpress but the release date is still unknown.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, a source told Hindustan Times that Anushka is pregnant but will not be announcing the pregnancy anytime soon. “Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage,” the source said.
Addressing the actress’ lack of public appearances, the source claimed, “This isn’t a coincidence. She is staying away from the public eye to avoid speculation.” While the rumours had been sparked earlier, they went rife after Anushka’s Ganesh Chaturthi post.
The report also mentioned that the couple was recently spotted by the paparazzi outside a maternity clinic in Mumbai but requested that their photographs not be taken. “They requested the paparazzi to not publish their pictures, with a promise to make an announcement soon,” the source was quoted as saying.
