Jamie Foxx Denies Sexual Assault Allegations: ‘Incident Never Happened’
Following serious allegations, Jamie Foxx has come forward to clarify his position regarding the case and said the incident never happened.

It was a tumultuous year for Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx and to add more trouble, a fresh incident came to light recently, as a lawsuit was filed against him by a woman alleging sexual assault in 2015. Referred as Jane Doe in legal documents, she accuses Foxx for touching her inappropriately at New York City’s Catch rooftop bar in August 2015. Following these serious allegations, the Django Unchained star has come forward to clarify his position regarding the case. The actor’s spokesperson dismissed the sexual assault allegation, asserting that the alleged “incident never happened” and highlighted a similar lawsuit previously filed by the same woman, which was dismissed by the court.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the actor told Page Six, “The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”

Jane Doe asserted that Jamie Foxx allegedly behaved inappropriately after she asked for a photo with the actor. According to her, an “intoxicated” Foxx reportedly placed his hands on her waist and progressed by sliding them beneath her top. The situation escalated when the actor took her to the secluded area and moved his hands into her pants. Despite the presence of witnesses, including security guards, the accuser claimed that no one intervened and the actor only stopped when the woman’s friend found her.

According to documents acquired by Fox News, the actor was seated just a table away from the woman. When the plaintiff and her friend requested a photo with Foxx, he allegedly responded with phrases like “Sure baby anything for you” and complimented her with comments such as “Wow, you have that supermodel body,” and “You smell so good.” Additionally, Foxx even compared her to Gabrielle Union. Apart from the Academy Award winner, the lawsuit also involves Catch Hospitality Group, restaurant owner Mark Birnbaum and managing partner Arie Kovant.

In legal documents submitted to the court, Jane Doe added that she “has suffered and continues to suffer physical and emotional injuries, anxiety, distress, embarrassment and economic harm.” The accuser seeks both punitive and compensatory damages, along with a trial by jury.
