The video of Sonu Nigam's latest bhajan on Lord Rama includes the original cast from Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan.

After lending his voice to the bhajan ‘Shri Ram Lalla,’ Sonu Nigam has now sung another song dedicated to Lord Ram. The new song, Humaare Ram Aaye Hai, is set to be released on January 22, celebrating the special Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The track includes the original cast from Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan – actors Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lehri – in leading roles. Arun announced the release date on his social media.

Arun Govil shared a post on his X handle to announce the release of the song. Sharing a poster from the video, he wrote, “Let’s welcome our beloved Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman in Ayodhya in the mesmerising voice of Sonu Nigam in ‘Humare Ram Aaye Hai’, a symphony penned and composed by Abhishek Thakur featuring original Ram Arun Govil, original Sita Dipika Chikhlia and original Laxman Sunil Lehri. In a video that’s going viral on social media, Dipika can be seen relishing kulhad waali chai (tea served in a clay glass) on the shooting sets.

On January 25, 1987, Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan was aired on television across India and took the nation by storm. This was before the cable TV’s entry in the market, so Ramayan was telecast on Doordarshan. It is to date one of the most revered series that left the viewers glued to their TV on Sundays. The show was headlined by Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who essayed the role of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita respectively.
