The much-awaited film of the year, Animal, is all set to release next month. The movie has managed to generate a lot of buzz around it. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. As the release date of the highly anticipated movie is closer, fans were treated to a candid behind-the-scenes (BTS) picture from the sets of Animal. The photo features Ranbir Kapoor and the director engrossed in a deep conversation. The photo has gone viral on social media. The BTS snap was posted by director – Sandeep Reddy Vanga and shows a great bond between the actor and filmmaker.
The duo can be seen engaged in a lengthy conversation while sitting opposite each other on a chair outdoors. Ranbir is seen in the photo wearing a black jacket and black sunglasses. He also has a rough, big beard and lengthy locks. The director is seen wearing a shirt and sporting a similar bearded look. Fans were quite excited to get a glimpse of the duo. One user remarked, “Two legends in one frame," while another said, “Superstar director meets superstar Ranbir Kapoor."
Apart from being lauded for its action, the film has a noteworthy music album. The latest song, Satranga, was released a few days back. The music video features Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters celebrating Karwa Chauth together. Everything seems well until Rashmika is triggered by something Ranbir says to her. They quarrel, and Anil Kapoor, who plays Ranbir’s father, is forced to intervene. Gradually, the couple reunites, and Ranbir sets out on a fatal mission. Arijit Singh crooned the soulful number, which was composed by Shreyas Puarnik, while Siddharth Garima wrote the lyrics.
Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, Animal will be released in over 888 theatres in the US, outnumbering the recent Bollywood hit Jawan, which had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Reportedly, Jawan was shown on 850 screens in the United States. Further, Ranbir’s Brahmastra was shown in 810 theatres.
Animal is co-written by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Saurabh Gupta. Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Saloni Batra, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, and Suresh Oberoi feature in the film. It tells the story of a father-son bond set against the backdrop of the underworld. Animal is slated to be released theatrically on December 1, 2023. Previously, the film was scheduled to be released on August 11. Reportedly, the release date was postponed due to post-production delays.
