Shilpa Shetty is surely one of the most fit-looking actresses of her time. She has maintained herself and constantly share a lot of fitness video. Well, apart from this the actress is also known for her acting skills and she has proved it also in films like Dhadkan, Baazigar and many more. But it is her item songs that are more associated with her, as she claims. In an exclusive conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Shilpa revealed that no big banners have ever offered her film.
Shilpa said, “I have had a long career with so many lows that I used to wonder, ‘Why didn’t I get offered this role or why was I never offered a film with big banners?’ Whatever I have achieved is by working in small films with big actors. I did small characters and no matter whether my films worked or not, all my songs were hits. I am surviving because of my songs.” To note, Shilpa’s item numbers include main aaye hu UP, Bihar lootne.
Recalling the old days, she even said that there were times when producers did not pay her full fees. “There are films of the 90s which I worked in, and the producers would say, ‘Oh, we incurred losses.’ So, I didn’t get the remaining fees also. That time was very different,” she was quoted.
In a recent conversation with ETimes, Shilpa has opened up about her journey and expressed her feelings about being overlooked in the industry’s top-tier lists. She said despite getting a lot of love from fans she was never counted in the top 10 actors list.
On the work front, Shilpa Shetty will be soon seen in Sukhee. The trailer has already released and film will hit the screen on September 22. The film also stars Kusha Kapila in a pivotal role. The story revolves around a housewife who finally breaks free from her monotonous routine and goes to Delhi for her school reunion. Shilpa Shetty will soon be making her OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force co-starring Sidharth Malhotra.
