SRK Says Dunki Song Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se Made Him Emotional: 'Makes Me Think of My Parents...'
Shah Rukh Khan shares he misses his parents. The actor lost his parents when he was young.

Shah Rukh Khan said that the new Dunki song, Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se, made him miss his parents. The song was released last week as Dunki Drop 3. The song showed the struggles of Shah Rukh’s character to cross boundaries and land in the destination of their dreams. The song had many social media users, especially NRIs emotional. Shah Rukh on Saturday revealed even he was emotional and missed his parents after he heard the song for the first time.

The superstar made the confession during an Ask SRK session. “Sir this song made me remember my home did u feel the same when u heard it first?” a fan asked. Shah Rukh gave a candid reply. “Yes it really makes me think about my parents…my Delhi days….friends made and lost in time. Very emotional #Dunki,” he said.

In another tweet, Shah Rukh added that he misses his parents. The actor, who was raised in Delhi, was asked if he has any childhood memories from the city. “Sir aapko dilli ki yaad aati hai kya? Apne bachpan ke baare mein bataiye na?” a fan said. SRK replied, “Main toh Abhi bhi Bachaa hoon. Had a lovely childhood and I do miss my parents a lot.”

Shah Rukh was born in 1965 to Mir Taj Mohammed Khan, an Indian independence activist from Peshawar, and Lateef Fatima Khan. His father died in 1981 following a battle with cancer. On the other hand, his mother died in 1991 from complications of diabetes. Shah Rukh also has a sister, Shehnaz Lalarukh Khan. Shah Rukh has often spoken about his family over the years.

Meanwhile, Dunki is slated to release on Christmas. The film is set to clash with Prabhas’ Salaar.
