Karachi vs Hyderabadi Biryani Debate Continues; Here's What Wasim Akram Has to Say

Pakistani cricket players, who stayed in a famous hotel in Hyderabad, Telangana, for the ODI World Cup 2023 matches at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, have tasted the famous Hyderabadi biryani recently. The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video which went viral on social media. In the video, the interviewer asked the cricketers about the two biryanis and which tasted delicious. The interviewer also asked them what the rating they will give to Hyderabadi biryani.

Responding to this, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said, “Hyderabadi biryani is spicy and that is its specialty. I give 8 out of 10 marks to it.” Pace bowler Hasan Ali gave 10 out of 10 to the very delicious Hyderabadi biryani.

“It is mouthwatering and delicious. I will give 11 out of 10 marks”, Batter Imam-ul-Haq said. Babar Azam has said that he has been hearing about the great taste of the Hyderabadi biryani for a long time now and he finally got an opportunity to taste it in Hyderabad, where it has been prepared.

Imam-ul-Haq said that both the biryanis are tasty and delicious.

Another video which has surfaced shows Wasim Akram making the tough choice. He says, “There is no competition to the Biryani served in Karachi. He claimed that the biryani served in Hyderabad is dry, more like a pulao.” With this, he urged his Indian friends to not get angry.

Meanwhile, the fans at Hyderabad welcomed the Pakistan players. They were defeated in the two warm up matches with Australia and New Zealand held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal in Hyderabad. They are going to play against New Zealand on October 6 and against Sri Lanka on October 10 at the same stadium as part of ODI World Cup 2023. They are going to play against India in a match scheduled at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.
