Candidates preparing for the upcoming examinations in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics can now access the complete MHT CET Syllabus on the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org.
According to the official notification, the MHT CET Syllabus 2024 for PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) encompasses class 12 topics along with selective topics from class 11. Emphasising the weightage distribution, the syllabus allocates 20 per cent to class 11 topics and the remaining 80 per cent to class 12 topics as per the curriculum outlined by the State Council Of Educational Research And Training, Maharashtra.
MHT CET Syllabus 2024:
Physics: Topics include Laws of motion, Motion in a plane, Thermal properties of matter, Gravitation, Sound, Optics, Electrostatics, and semiconductors.
Chemistry: The syllabus covers Elements of groups 1 and 2, Some basic concepts of chemistry, Structure of atoms, Chemical bonding, Redox reactions, States of matter (Gaseous and Liquids), Basic principles of organic chemistry, Adsorption and colloids (Surface Chemistry), Hydrocarbons.
Mathematics: Candidates can anticipate a diverse set of topics, including Trigonometry II, Straight lines, Circles, Measures of dispersion, Probability, Complex numbers, Permutations and combinations, Functions, and limits.
Biology: It covers Biomolecules, Respiration and energy transfer, Human Nutrition, Excretion, and osmoregulation.
MHT CET 2024 Subject-Wise Weightage:
The difficulty level for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is expected to be comparable to the JEE (Main) exam. However, candidates must note that there will be no negative marking in the MHT CET. On the other hand, Biology is anticipated to have a difficulty level akin to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Mathematics: This subject comprises 10 questions from Class 10th and 40 questions from Class 12th. Each question carries 2 marks, accumulating a total of 100 marks. Candidates will have a duration of 90 minutes to complete the test.
Physics and Chemistry: Both Physics and Chemistry subjects follow a similar pattern. Each of these includes 10 questions from Class 10th topics and 40 questions from Class 12th topics. Each question in Physics and Chemistry carries 1 mark, resulting in a cumulative total of 100 marks for each subject. The allotted time for candidates to address these questions is set at 90 minutes
Biology: This subject includes 20 questions dedicated to Class 10th topics and 80 questions focusing on Class 12th topics. Each question in Biology carries 1 mark, contributing to a total of 100 marks. Similar to Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, candidates are provided with a duration of 90 minutes to navigate through the comprehensive set of questions in the Biology segment.
