'When we Got Dressed up Without Accessorising With...': Jasprit Bumrah Posts Throwback Photo With Wife Sanjana Ganesan
Bumrah and Sanjana recently welcomed their first child and the former's Instagram post on Tuesday suggested that the duo is now busy with parenting duties.

Team India paceman Jasprit Bumrah recalled a time when he and his wife Sanjana Ganesan got dressed up without accessorising with burp cloths and bottles. Bumrah and Sanjana recently welcomed their first child and the former’s Instagram post on Tuesday suggested that the duo is now busy with parenting duties.

Bumrah posted a photo with Sanjana on Instagram and wrote, “throwback to a time when we got dressed up without accessorising with burp cloths and bottles.”

Bumrah was in Sri Lanka to represent his country in the ongoing Asia Cup. However, the pacer returned to Mumbai and missed the group stage clash against Nepal for the birth of his child.

The paceman broke the good news on social media and revealed the name of their baby boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah. “Our little family has grown and our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it,” Bumrah wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Bumrah made an impressive return to the Indian team after a long injury lay-off. He led the Indian team to a series win on the Ireland tour and then led the pace attack in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023. Bumrah struck with the new ball in every match and made things difficult for the opposition with his swinging deliveries.

Ahead of the group-stage clash against Pakistan, captain Rohit Sharma spoke about having Bumrah back with the team.

“Playing after a long time it was good to see Jasprit Bumrah back on the ground. He is an important part of our team. It felt good he and Prasidh Krishna played two matches on the Ireland tour and bowled well there which is a good sign for us. They worked hard in the NCA during the rehabilitation period,” Rohit had said.

Recently, former India pacer Sreesanth advised India to take care of Jasprit Bumrah and said he should be given rest in the ODI series against Australia in case of any niggle or discomfort.

“It will be interesting to see the kind of pitches they offer to Australia in the series. But I want Bumrah to be rested if there is a niggle. Let him decide how his body is feeling. He deserves to make that decision and choose his priority,” he added.
