Adilabad: A petition filed by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was arrested on Tuesday, seeking transfer of his case to Hyderabad was on Wednesday dismissed by a local court.
The MIM MLA, who was arrested after his medical tests in Hyderabad on Tuesday and then taken to Adilabad, had filed the petition asking for transfer to the Andhra Pradesh capital for better medical case.
The petition was dismissed by an additional judicial first class magistrate, who ordered the Adilabad jail superintendent to provide better medical care to Owaisi, who was arrested for non-cooperation by the police over an alleged hate speech.
