Kolkata: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) has confirmed its support for Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha elections candidate in Darjeeling, SS Ahluwalia, who is also the party's national vice president and former MP.
BJP reportedly provided the GJM a choice between Ahluwalia and Rajiv Pratap Rudy from the Darjeeling seat.
The BJP is likely to announce a fresh list of candidates on Thursday at Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar, the three north Bengal seats where the party has the GJM's backing.
