16. Kamareddy is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Zahirabad Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Kamareddy falls in Kamareddy district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,75,733 voters in the seat, which includes 86,034 male voters, and 89,687 female voters. In the 2018 Telangana elections, Kamareddy recorded a voter turnout of 78.24%. In 2014 the turnout was 72.04%.
In 2014, Gampa Govardhan of TRS won the seat by a margin of 8,683 (5.49%). Gampa Govardhan secured 45.53% of the total votes polled.
