“Arvind Kejriwal is a politician born on the foundation of fraud and deceit” while “Rahul Gandhi is working with anti-India forces,” Bharatiya Janata President (BJP) JP Nadda has said in an interview with CNN-News18 in his hometown Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
In strong comments, Nadda said Kejriwal speaks lies with mischief and is emotionally misusing the support of people.
“Kejriwal is a politician born on the foundation of fraud and deceit. Kejriwal’s credibility is in minus and he has been exposed. He is a liar of the first order, he is anti-people, he is not even loyal to his friends, and he does not respect women. He is a representative of the urban naxals, harming our institutions. He is taking his party to anarchy, as he is an anarchist. You will see what will happen with him in these polls in Delhi and Punjab,” Nadda has told CNN-News18.
Kejriwal will be surrendering to return to jail on June 2.
‘Rahul Gandhi Works with Anti-Nationals’
Nadda also slammed Rahul Gandhi, saying the latter’s tutors are disconnected from ground realities of India and are a defeated lot. “His tutors are the leftists, urban leftists, the JNU club. They are outdated and, hence, he speaks such stuff. His campaign has not resonated because people have moved on; that used to work in the 60s, not in 2024. It is no longer a reality now, it is a delusion,” JP Nadda told CNN-News18.
The BJP president also said that Rahul Gandhi was working with anti-national forces who raise slogans hailing Afzal Guru and the Tukde-Tukde gang. “You (Rahul Gandhi) may be anti-national, but the country’s people are nationalists. Congress doesn’t have the discipline of the BJP. Rahul Gandhi tore an ordinance; can it happen in BJP? No, it cannot,” Nadda said.
Dynasty Politics
Nadda told CNN-News18 that the BJP is growing while the Congress is shrinking to a regional party because BJP does not believe in dynasty politics. “I will pass baton to someone else, not my family member. India’s democracy does not want to be slave to dynasty politics. Congress was a national party but is now reduced to a regional party. Congress is just a re-launch party; the truth is Congress is shrinking, they had to ally with smaller parties who dominated them in seats,” Nadda said.
