6. Khanapur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Adilabad Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Khanapur falls in Nirmal district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,72,736 voters in the seat, which includes 85,979 male voters, and 86,734 female voters. In the 2018 Telangana elections, Khanapur recorded a voter turnout of 80.5%. In 2014 the turnout was 73.29%.
In 2014, Ajmeera Rekha of TRS won the seat by a margin of 38,511 (28.17%). Ajmeera Rekha secured 49.33% of the total votes polled.
