Lalu hits out at Giriraj Singh over Sonia Gandhi's skin colour remark, says he should be made to wear bangles, vermilion, bindi
Taking potshots at BJP and RSS, Lalu said they "harbour the mentality which is portrayed by people like Singh".

Patna: Criticising Union Minister Giriraj Singh for his controversial comments on Congress President Sonia Gandhi, RJD President Lalu Prasad today said he had crossed borders of indecency and demanded action against him.

"He should be made to wear bangles, vermilion, bindi, and his face should be blackened" as he has "crossed borders of indecency," he told reporters.

Prasad's sharp reactions came after Singh's comment on Sonia Gandhi, questioning whether Congress would have accepted her as a leader had she not been "white-skinned" generated a countrywide condemnation.

Claiming that Singh had indulged in "racist" and controversial remarks earlier too by asking "those who do not vote for Narendra Modi should go to Pakistan", the RJD Chief demanded strict action against him.

Prasad said a few days ago JDU National President Sharad Yadav had made distasteful remarks in Parliament about women with dark complexion and there was such an outcry against it across the country that he was forced to seek forgiveness.

"There should be a stringent law to punish people like Singh. Such comments shouldn't be taken lightly. There is democracy in India and the people here become satisfied with apologies, but this is not enough," he added.

Taking potshots at BJP and RSS, he said they "harbour the mentality which is portrayed by people like Singh".
