Chennai: AIADMK is set to break all records in Tamil Nadu as J Jayalalithaa leads her party to a landslide victory in Tamil Nadu. The party is up for a thumping victory in the state as 38 of its candidates are leading in 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
The party which could not even open its account during 2004 Lok Sabha elections, will probably change the map of national politics in Tamil Nadu when the final tally is out on Friday evening.
Veteran leader Karunanidhi and other DMK leaders might just go in hiding as none of its candidates is leading in any of the constituencies. The 2014 Lok Sabha elections mark the worst ever performance by the old party.
Even senior leaders like A Raja, famous for the 2G spectrum scam could not being good fortunes for the DMK. The 'tainted' leader is trailing by over 54,000 votes. C Gopalakrishnan of the AIADMK played the spoilsport for Raja in the Perambulur seat.
Meanwhile, MDMK chief Vaiko is also on the losing end as he trails by 21,053 votes behind AIADMK's T Radhakrishnan.
The only seat where the AIADMK is facing the defeat is that of Dharmapuri constituency where its candidate PS Mohan is trailing by over 30,000 seats over his nearest rival PMK's Anbumani Ramadoss.PAGE_BREAK
